Prof. Dr. Pınar Gençpınar, who works on the neurological development and neurological disorders of children, continues her academic studies at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University Faculty of Medicine and conducts her clinical practice in the field of pediatric neurology at İzmir Bayraklı City Hospital.

Continuing her work in the fields of pediatric neurology, neurogenetics, and neonatal neurology, Gençpınar’s areas of academic interest include epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, rare diseases, and genetic neurological disorders. In addition to these areas, her academic publications also include studies on headaches, neurodevelopment, and neurological problems during the neonatal period.

Gençpınar continues her scientific research alongside her clinical experience, participating in studies conducted with researchers from different centers and contributing to scientific advancement in pediatric neurology, particularly in the fields of epilepsy, neurogenetics, and neurodevelopment.

My academic journey has been shaped by my interest in pediatric neurology and my commitment to scientific research. After completing my medical education, I specialized in pediatric neurology and continued my academic studies. Alongside my role as a university faculty member, I focused on integrating clinical experience with scientific research.

In my work, I particularly focus on epilepsy, neurogenetics, neurodevelopmental disorders, and rare neurological diseases. Through research conducted with different research groups and academic centers, I aim to contribute to the body of scientific knowledge in pediatric neurology.
